Terms of Service
Beck Labs LLC · Effective
These terms cover your use of Beck: the website at beck.bot, the app, the API, the MCP server and the plugins. Beck is run by Beck Labs LLC, a Utah limited liability company (“we”).
Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account or using Beck, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use Beck for a company or other organization, you agree for it and confirm you have the authority to do that. “You” then means both you and the organization.
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract to use Beck.
Your account, tokens and agents
Keep your sign-in and your API tokens secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything a coding agent or script does with a token you created. Revoke a token in Settings as soon as you think it has leaked.
Beck records what connected agents send it, such as plans, task updates, test results and questions. You decide which agents to connect and what they may do, including the autonomy mode that lets an agent accept its own work. Review what an agent produces before you rely on it.
Your content
You own what you and your agents put into Beck: documents, epics, tasks, comments, decisions and progress updates. You give us permission to store, copy, display and process it only as needed to run Beck for you. That includes sending it to an AI model provider when you use an AI feature, as the Privacy Policy describes. We don’t sell your content and we don’t use it to train AI models.
Members of a workspace’s organization can see and change that workspace’s content. You are responsible for having the rights to what you put in Beck.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Beck to:
- break the law or infringe anyone else's rights;
- store or send malware, or content you have no right to share;
- try to get into accounts, workspaces or systems that aren't yours, or test Beck's security without our written permission;
- overload the service, get around rate limits or plan limits, or share one paid seat among several people;
- resell or rent access to Beck without our permission.
We may suspend access that puts Beck or other customers at risk while we look into it.
AI features
AI features such as Plan it and spec breakdown generate text that can be wrong or incomplete. Check it before you act on it. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of AI credits. Unused credits don’t carry over to the next month and have no cash value.
If you add your own OpenAI or Anthropic key, calls made with it are billed by that provider and governed by your agreement with them.
Plans, billing and cancellation
Prices and what each plan includes are on the pricing page. Paid plans are subscriptions billed in advance each month through our payment processor, Stripe. Team plans are billed per seat. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Prices don’t include taxes, which we add where required.
You can cancel at any time from the billing settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and does not renew after that. We don’t give refunds or credits for partial periods, unused seats or unused AI credits, except where the law requires it.
We will tell you at least 30 days before a price change applies to your subscription. If a payment fails and isn’t fixed, we may move your account to the Free plan.
Open-source parts
The Beck MCP server (@becklabs/beck-mcp-server) and the Beck plugins are released under the MIT License. For that code, the MIT License governs, not these terms. These terms still cover your use of the Beck service they connect to.
Our service and our name
Apart from your content and the open-source parts, Beck and everything in it belong to Beck Labs LLC. Beck and the Beck logo are trademarks of Beck Labs LLC. You may use the name to refer to Beck accurately, but not in a way that suggests we endorse you or that could confuse people about who makes Beck.
If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
Ending your use
You can stop using Beck at any time. To close your account, email hello@beck.bot. We delete your workspace content within 30 days of the request, apart from backup copies, which expire on their normal schedule, and records we must keep by law, such as billing records.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or when the law requires it. Unless there is an urgent risk or a legal reason not to, we will tell you first and give you a chance to save a copy of your content. If we ever shut Beck down, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice.
Changes
Beck changes as we work on it, and we may add, change or remove features. We may also update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Beck after that means you accept the new terms.
Disclaimers
Beck is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t promise that Beck will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI output or agent activity will be accurate.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, Beck Labs LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim about Beck is limited to the greater of $100 or what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
You agree to defend and indemnify Beck Labs LLC against third-party claims that come from your content or from your use of Beck in breach of these terms.
Governing law
The laws of the State of Utah govern these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts located in Utah, and both of us agree to their jurisdiction.
General
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about Beck. If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of Beck.
